Head Internal Audit & Control

Mr. Igwe Chukwuemeka joined the Bank in 2022 as the Head of Internal Audit & Control. He has over 15 years of work experience in Banking, covering both commercial and Microfinance bank subsectors.
He hails from Obowo LGA of Imo State. He is dedicated, resourceful, and diligent. He is detail-oriented with a proven track record of implementing audit recommendations. Before joining the Bank, he served as the cash officer at ECO Bank Plc, Abakaliki branch. He has also served as the head of operations & internal Audit before he was appointed Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Ngbo Microfinance Bank Ltd at various times.
He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Calabar, Cross River State. He is also a certified Banker from the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) He has attended several training workshops organised by CBN, NDIC, FRCN, ITF, and NAMBs. He is married and blessed with children
